Alysha & Luke’s Lush Garden Wedding

“I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day than our wedding day.”

On the 20^th of October 2017, Alysha and Luke Ruhland were married in a lush garden ceremony. The pair were worried they would not be able to have their dream wedding – as the week before, it rained every day. But in a stroke of incredible luck, “the day before our wedding, the skies cleared up and we were able to have our fairy tale. Everything went smoothly… it was amazing”.

The couple met in 2010 and “connected instantly” and have been “inseparable” ever since. The ceremony was held at the Shangri La Gardens in Wynnum, Brisbane, the same venue Alysha’s mother had her wedding. The Shangri-La Gardens has been a Brisbane landmark since the 1960s, and features a beautiful tropical garden, where the couple held their ceremony. They then had their reception in the venue’s Regency Room.

Alysha wore the Allure Romance 2959 Bridal Gown, purchased from Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal in Capalaba. The ball-gown style dress evokes romance, and Alysha looked every bit the princess. The dress features a strapless, sweetheart neckline and a chapel length train. The scalloped lace applique on the bodice and hem adds an element of charm to the gown. Alysha also wore a veil from Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal.

Luke and his groomsmen also purchased their outfits from Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal in Capalaba. They looked exceedingly sophisticated in the DHJK106-02 suit, which features a notch lapel, two button closure, flap pockets, split four button sleeves and side vents, and is made from Australian Pure Merino Wool. The men chose to accessorise with stylish purple lapel flowers and ties, matching Alysha’s bouquet and bridesmaid’s gowns.

Alysha said “I wish I could go back and re-live it again.”
