Emily and Glen started dating 3 and a half years ago – initially meeting through mutual friends. 2 years later Glen proposed while on a holiday to Fiji in July 2015. Just over a year later Emily and Glen tied the knot on September 17th, 2016 in an intimate garden wedding at the beautiful Brisbane Botanic Gardens in Mt Coot-Tha. Following the ceremony the bride and groom along with their guests made there way to the award winning Summit Restaurant & Bar for the reception.
When asked about her most memorable moment Emily replied: “I must say, the most memorable moment of the whole lead up to the big day, was choosing my wedding dress. My bridesmaids and I had narrowed it down to a select few, so we went to have one final look, to decide ‘the one’. I was told, “When you find the dress for you, you’ll know.” We went to two stores in the morning, then headed to Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal Aspley that afternoon. I tried the dress on, walked out to show my bridesmaids and my Aunty, and burst into tears… When I finally composed myself, I explained that I really wish my mum was still around to be here for my wedding day. Vanessa (from Ferrari), my Aunty, and my two best friends all cried with me. That’s the moment I knew that I’d found my dress. It was also the moment that our wedding became ‘real’. We were most looking forward to celebrating our special day with our friends and family, and it couldn’t have been a better day”.

The beautiful memory charm on the bouquet was from Bridal Bling Australia (I ordered it online – they put the photo in for me)
